Description:
Meet other local families with disabilities at Downham library.
This a series of relaxed, open and free session for families with disabilities, special educational needs and neurodiversity to meet and take part in activities including; singing, sensory free play, lego and termly Sensory discos.
These sessions offer a supported space for you and your children to come to the library. There is a quiet break out space upstairs (lift accessible), sensory focused activities downstairs and the freedom to come and go, stim and be yourself! Siblings, families and friends welcome too.
Sessions run on certain Saturdays at 2.30-3.30pm.
19 September 2026 - Sensory Play and Make session. Expect nature play trays, bubbles, play dough and sometimes slime making! These are structured sessions with free play moments, crafty activities and song.
17 October 2026 - Sensory Play and Make session.
14 November 2026 – Sensory Disco. Our Sensory Discos incorporate movement, dance games and music from DJ Honza. These sessions focus on free expression & supporting motor skills and coordination in a fun environment.
Booking in advance helps us with numbers. Drop ins always welcome.
