Led by Sandie Bourne, this fun and accessible workshop offers a gentle introduction to ballet for very young children (aged ideally 3-5) and their families or carers.
This session supports the Into the Light: The Pioneers of Black British Ballet exhibition, which will be on display in the library at the same time.
Black dancers have been part of British ballet since at least the 1940s, yet the contributions and stories of these pioneers have often been overlooked. This exhibition and workshop aim to change that by celebrating the lives and achievements of these trailblazers.
